A Weekend for the RAAF Community
Join fellow RAAF members and Arrabri Alpine Club alpine lovers for an unforgettable long weekend of local food, fine wine, and mountain camaraderie at Mount Hotham’s legendary Arrabri Alpine Lodge — held on the first weekend of every month.
Close to base and cost-effective, with Andrew Burns, Arrabri Alpine Club legend and on-base representative, coordinating participation and logistics.
Arrabri Alpine Club is proud to support the RAAF community and the RAAF Ski Racing Team with affordable alpine experiences, deep community ties, and opportunities to connect through shared adventure and hospitality.
THE EXPERIENCE
Curated for seasonal excellence by Andrew Burns, with the help of Victoria Wilson, the Snow Monkey Group, the Alpine Providores, and the Arrabri Alpine Events Team, this signature experience celebrates the best of regional Victoria:
- Bespoke Culinary Treasure Hunts / Car Rally Experiences through Alpine Valley, providores of exceptional food and wine
- Wine Tastings & Degustation Dinners with Victorian winemakers
- Chef Collaborations & Fireside Conversations
- Sunday Brunch & Farewell Toast with panoramic views
- Optional mini-bus transport to and from RAAF Base Sale, offering convenient, affordable group travel direct to Arrabri Alpine Lodge
COST
$200 per head – includes Saturday-night dinner and wine tasting
Add $50 if you require return transport from RAAF Base Sale
10 % of all registrations are donated directly to the RAAF Ski Racing Team to support training, equipment and competition access.
Optional Add-Ons:
• Wellness Week (Midweek Before) – alpine yoga, recovery and rejuvenation
• Mountain Biking Week (Midweek After) – guided rides, skills sessions and scenic tours
ACCOMMODATION & BOOKINGS
Members and RAAF guests welcome. Stay at the Arrabri Alpine Lodge, featuring a fireside lounge, full kitchen, drying room and sweeping alpine views.
Accommodation is charged at the member rate + event premium, with all proceeds supporting community programs and lodge development.
